In order to avoid threats to my person, I would advise all those who adore Sheridan to stop reading this article now.

OK, now that they are gone, I may speak openly without fear of retribution.

Don’t get me wrong. Sheridan is a good guy. My problem is that he is too much of a good guy. He is so goody-two-shoes that it makes me want to puke.

Sheridan has a saintish quality about him that makes me not want to trust him, as he always does the right thing, even when it would be for his personal gain to do the wrong thing. It is the only predictable thing about B5.

All of the other characters are "human," even the aliens, as they make mistakes and have vices. I truly believe that B5 would become the epitome of perfection if Sheridan were bald, had a women’s shoe fetish, or became addicted to spoo.

Turning the leader into a cheesy womanizer has already been done (besides, Franklin already has that role in B5), so I have decided that giving Sheridan "issues" would be much more fun.

People must realize that perfect knights in shining armor are boring, and that life is full of average guys who make mistakes.

Besides, the average guys are much more fun to root for.
